The area of the rectangle, then there must be 7 "x 14" = 98 cm ²
The area of a semicircle is half the area of a circle:
A = pi (r ^ 2) / 2
r = 7 "pi = 22 / 7 for A = 22 / 7 (7) ^ 2 / 2 = 77 cm ²
The empty space is 98 cm ² - 77 meters = 21 inches square inch
The area of the rectangle is 7 "x 14".
The area of the semicircle is 1 / 2 π (7) ²
